A Historical Moment

Grace donned her 'wedding dress' (aka the dress she wore as the Flower Girl in Aunt Katie's wedding) tonight to stay up late with Mommy and watch the highlight shows of the Royal Wedding that took place today.
Prince William married Kate Middleton earlier today (5:00 AM Cincinnati time). As we started to watch the 20/20 special, I had to point out to Grace that this was a real live Princess in a real live beautiful gown and tiara. She replies, "She's not a Disney Princess." OH LORD!
Anyway, Grace put on her gown, got out her tea party set and enjoyed the royal pomp and circumstance just as much as I did.

Extraordinary Egg Hunt

After two disappointing egg-hunting experiences (because of cold weather, bad prizes and over-population), we decided to host our own. At the last minute we invited a handful of family and friends over hoping to have a more relaxed Easter egg hunt.
Luckily we had great weather and I think everybody had a good time.

Lincoln the Chatterbox

Now that he's figured out all the good it can do him, Linc has taken to talking like a duck to water. Of course, his big sis still out blabs him by a lot, but he's no longer the strong and silent type. Here are some of his more adorble quotes (in order of frequency):

"Why?" - (uttered no less than 130 times each day) the singsong way he says this every single time is priceless
"Au-lln-no" - translated as 'I don't know'
"Choo Choo tacks" - when you ask what he's drawing/panting/building/fixing/reading about this is the standard answer
"Feetie pie" - when he's playing Mommy & Baby with Grace, he always calls her sweetie pie
"I comin' " - because Linc never comes the first time I call for him, I have to start the count down and when I get to '3' I hear this response

That's all I can think of right now, but he's got lots of other one-liners that make him seem more like a grown up boy than my little baby.

Picture Day

Today I took the kids to Sears to have their "2" and "4" year pictures taken. It went pretty well and we should get the prints in about two weeks. The highlight of the experience though was when Tony came home from work and Grace was telling him about getting dressed up for the portrait session,
"I was so beautiful I couldn't resist myself."

Oh lord!
