Unsewn

Grace may generally be a little jumpy and dramatic (as most princesses are); but today I saw for sure that she has a core of steel :). We had to go to the pediatrician to have her stitches removed and she was terrified - what 3 year old wouldn't be?
But - just like when we were at the ER - when it came time to lay on the table and get the job done, she did beautifully!! She held still, held my hands and (more or less) let the doctor do her thing.
For being so brave she got two fistfulls of stickers and everyone (mom, grandma, doctor & nurses) saying how proud they were of her. What a big girl!

OH NO!

Over the weekend we had our first run to the Emergency Room as parents. Luckily it was nothing to horrible. Grace was playing in the River (bravely jumping off the end of the dock into the 'deep water'). Unfortunately during one of her flying leaps, she landed on cousin Leah's head - giving Leah a nice knot on her forehead and Grace three stiches in her chin.
Grace was very brave and did great at the hospital (given her kinda jumpy personality). We left with three little stitches (that look a lot like whiskers) and a handful of TinkerBell stickers. We'll go to the pediatrician on Friday to have them taken out . . .



By later that afternoon, Grace was feeling good enough to go for a ride on Uncle Kyle's motorboat and go feed the geese.

Another Classic Grace Conversation

In the car just a few minutes ago - we had been discussing Uncle Kyle's girlfriend and how much Grace likes her. And then this:

Grace: "I love everybody, but I don't love my sister."
Mom: "Grace, you don't have a sister"
Grace: "I will in a few months when you have another baby."
Mom/Dad: LOL

Could she know something we don't know . . . I hope not!
