The Inevitable First Time

I had to tell Grace, "I'll explain when you're older" this morning when she asked me what a pantyliner is. Gotta love inquisitive kids.
Who needs drugs when you can get such a high from a good, long session of organizing. As our good friend, Ben Franklin said, "A place for everything, everything in its place."

Are you ready for cute??

It's not the best footage, but here's a clip of Bubba singing in the car. We think he's the next Frank Sinatra . . .

(and Yeah!!, we figured out how to upload videos)

ANOTHER Birthday Party!!

Just last weekend Grace had another birthday party . . . and happened to share it with all of the other Roope family members who were birthed in April, May or June.

Here are a few pics of the fiesta (sorry, I didn't remember to take as many as I would have liked)

In the car -

Here is a conversation Grace and I had in the car today. It made me laugh and I hope you enjoy it.
Some background info: we were on our way home from playing at a park & Emily is a longtime friend of mine whom Grace has not seen in several weeks.

Grace (out of the blue): We haven't goed to Emily's house in a long time.
Mom: Oh, you're right. Maybe we'll go play there tomorrow. (a little white mom lie)
G: Is she the Mommy? (meaning is Emily the wife)
M: Yes, she is.
G: I don't know who the boy is. (meaning who is her husband)
M: His name is Kevin.
G: Is he the daddy?
M: Yes, he is.
G: Who are the brothers and sisters? (meaning who are their kids)
M: They don't have any kids, they have lots of big doggies.
long pause
G: I don't like big doggies cuz they have slobber.
