Just a Quick Post

I only have enough energy for a quick update --
Lincoln Thomas Edwards was born at 11:45 PM on Wednesday, March 18th!!
He weighed a healthy 9 lbs, 3 oz and is nearly 22 inches long.
Everybody's doing great and looking forward to going home sometime tomorrow (Friday) afternoon.

We'll put up some pictures of our handsome little man as soon as possible, but don't expect too much too soon :).

We LOVE visitors, so don't hesitate to give us a call and arrange to stop in.

BEWARE - Partial Nudity Below

Obviously I have not had this baby yet (or I would probably not have the time to update this blog), but I have something almost as exciting to offer our faithful blog-readers . . .
Pictures of my enormous 39 week belly. As you may remember we have taken 1 picture each trimester, so here's the final installment. I can't believe I posting this picture, but I know you're all just dying to see it :)

And in case you haven't gotten enough belly - here is Grace, being her adorable self and giving the "baby" hugs and kisses.

I promise that the next pictures will include the face of the newest member of the Edwards family - I CAN'T WAIT!

Let's Call it MARCH

So we're getting down to the wire now which means there has been a lot of prep-work going on in the Edwards home. Grace's room is now finished and ready for occupancy (although she's still sleeping in the nursery and thinks her big-girl bed is a toy), we have the bassinet and a baby swing set up and ready for action and we've even started waking ourselves up several times in the middle of the night just to get back in the habit (kidding of course). But the reality of having another baby is setting in now that there are physical reminders of infancy appearing around the house again. Mommy and Daddy are both excited and Grace is regularly kissing Mom's huge belly and giving the baby hugs - soooo adorable.

At my last check-up I was one centimeter dilated (which is nothing too exciting), we'll see what the doc has to say this afternoon . . .

For those of you who haven't been able to visit recently (and we LOVE visitors, so seriously give us a call if you wanna come over and play) - here are some pictures of Grace's new room. Because our house is so cozy and small, she is sharing her room with some of Mommy and Daddy's dressers :) - hence the 1/2 pink walls and area rug. It's the perfect size for Grace!

Mid-February = blah

Not a lot has happened since my last post - which is actually kind of a good thing. For now life is quiet and almost boring (of course that will all be changing in the next few weeks!). Since last time, we've gotten a small taste of Spring and enjoyed playing outside one afternoon; we had a great playdate at the Children's Museum; we've watched a lot of Barney - but nothing monumental.
So really, all I've got for today is a few pictures of Grace enjoyinig our recent snow falls and a BIG Valentine's Day kiss for everyone!
