WELCOME TO THE WORLD BEN!

Congratulations to Mike & Amanda on the arrival of
Benjamin Michael on 06/19/09!
Here are some pics of Baby Ben and his two older cousins (& a very proud grandma and grandpa)

On a less life-changing note, we've been having a lot of fun at the River the past couple of weekends:

A funny thing happened . . .
Linc: is starting to really laugh a lot (so cute) and has rolled over twice! Of course it was an accident both times and he startled himself more than anything, but it counts as a milestone none the less.
Grace: sings everything she says (hilarious!) and is now frequently telling Mommy and Daddy, "I love you too" (even before you say, 'I love you' to her). She LOVES to read and has most of her books memorized, so she can sit on her Disney princesses couch and 'read' to herself - which is very helpful for Mommy.

Also, a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Grandpa Bob!!!

And really, that's about all. Summer has been flying by in a fun & relaxing sort of way. We are all very much looking forward to the return of Nana and Uncles Kyle and Evan tomorrow from their 10 day trip to Ireland and to the loooooong 4th of July weekend coming up.

Sorry for the Delay Ya'll

Hey - sorry about the gap in blogging, but frankly last week I had nothing exciting to report. And, there still isn't any real news, just some pictures of the cutests offspring ever!

So, above is a picture of Linc and Angela's new baby - Brecken. They came over to visit one night this week and the boys got to spend some time becoming "BFFs" :).

And, for your viewing pleasure, here are some pics of the kids taken one afternoon when they were both being especially adorable.

and a big HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY to Uncle Evan!!!

Summer is Here!

We finally made it to the warm, wonderful months of summer - we can officially note this with the following occurrences:
1. We had our first summer vacation. It was a weekend getaway with the Rolfes family to Mammoth Caves, KY. We had a terrific time and are very grateful to Mimi for organizing and "sponsoring" the event and the Tony's mom and dad for letting us use their RV for the road trip.

2. Grace has been swimming both in Grandma's big pool and in the baby pool in our backyard (our friends Erin and Owen came over for a fun day of splashin' around while Linc got to snooze on the patio table).

3. We have enjoyed our first weekend at the River and Lincoln went for his first-ever boat ride; among many other enjoyable activities. Be warned - the following pictures contain some nudity and lots of pasty white skin.

ALSO - Welcome back to Uncle Kyle who returned from Iceland just a few days ago (I know, right? Who goes to Iceland?). Anyway, he had a great time and collected lots of nifty rocks :) and we're very glad to have him home.
And, we want to say a big CONGRATULATIONS to our friends Ryan & Angela who recently welcomed their first baby. Brecken Charles Born arrived in the world last Friday afternoon and we are very happy to share that the whole family is doing great.
Not much else is really happening - we're just hanging out, having fun and looking forward to a summer full of soft serve ice cream and boat rides.
And lastly, here are a few more pics of Linc the Stink for your viewing enjoyment:

(no creative title)

We were blessed with a beautiful day for Edwards-palooza on Sunday and enjoyed an afternoon of relaxing fun with our family and friends. Lincoln is officially a holy dude now and Grace is officially a two-year-old with too many toys :). . . oh yeah and Tony and all the moms had a nice time too.
Thanks to everyone for making it such a great day. I was so busy running around, I didn't think to take as many pictures and I would have liked, but here are some snapshots from the day:

Happy Birthday to Grace

Yesterday was Grace's second birthday, but since we're having the big party on Sunday (and Daddy's out of town), we kept the celebration low key. We went to mass and a Birthday breakfast with Nana and Uncle Kyle and then saw a handful of our Rolfes cousins in a musical performance at St. Antoninus. Later that evening, Grandma came over and picked Grace up for a Birthday Sleepover. Grace got a couple of fun gifts and more importantly, enjoyed hearing 'The Birthday Song' sung to her several times!
I'll update the blog with picutres and details of Edwards-palooza sometime next week!! Hope to see you all there . . . stop by whenever - we'll be there all day and night.
